REKINDLING HOPE FOR A NEW GENERATION IN KENYA

Each year (for over 6 years now) a team of Anesthesiologists and CRNA from our department, in partnership with the UofL ENT department, RNs, NPs, and PAs fly to rural Kenya to offer free surgery for those in need. We collect donations year round and also have the chance to visit the Kenya Relief Orphanage.

ASA Legislative Conference

ADVOCACY FOR SAFE PATIENT CARE

The annual ASA Legislative Conference

is held annually in Washington, DC. It is an excellent opportunity for Anesthesiologists to meet state and national lawmakers and advocate for our specialty and for safe patient care.

Each year an ASA Resident Component House of Delegates (HOD) meeting takes place at the annual ASA Anesthesiology Conference. Delegates are the official voters for their state. In the resident HOD, the assembly votes on resolutions, bylaws referendum, policy decisions and elects representatives. UofL selects 2 residents each year to serve as delegate and alternate delegate to attend this meeting and represent our residents.
